Here it is!

I got this blog to post photos of our many adventures here in Alaska. Over the past year I have developed an interest in photography-mostly out of being frustrated by the lack of photos that captured the significant highlights of our travels into the villages. For my 22nd birthday, I got a new camera. Just a standard point-in-shoot camera, nothing fancy, but it does the trick. It's small, palm size device that fits nicely into a carry case strapped to my belt like a handgun ready for quick draw. And that I do. After photographing every outreach we have done, I have begun to expand my appetite for image capture. I want to learn how to be a real photographer--weddings, portraits, ya know the whole beluga. I have been practicing, but with the same standard birthday gift camera, I feel like my photographic potential is snuffed. Nonetheless, I will share our escapades in the Last Frontier via my photos. Here goes.
